Sue Wootton workshop – One Poem, Three Ways

*One Poem, Three Ways*

Sue Wootton is an award winning poet and fiction writer and an inspiring tutor. You can check out her website here:

This will be a workshop of intensive word mining. You don’t need to bring along any pre-prepared poetic masterpieces, but there will be a couple of bits of work sent out to participants to read prior to the workshop. Mood reading. A provocation, if you like.

Sue points out that we all fall into default patterns of composing. In this workshop, we’ll start with words and really work them, to weave up a new poetic fabric. One poem, three ways.

Venue: The Black Shack, Lake Hawea

Date: Sunday, June 19th

Time: 2-5pm

Cost: $33 (cash on the day please)

*Afternoon tea and inspirational views included.*

Numbers are limited so please email to reserve your place, or call Liz on 027 622 5075.

Sue will also be our guest reader at Poetic Justice on Monday, June 20. Come one, come all (all welcome to listen, all welcome to watch). The theme for June 20 will be Lost and Found. Watch this space for more info!

Never mind best dressed man in Wanaka – I sometimes wonder if I am the only man in Wanaka! How about a few male poets turning for an arm wrestle (sorry, I mean poetry reading).
