It’s 24 Hour Poetry, People!

Friday, 30 July is National Poetry Day and Poetic Justice is on board with 24 Poetry, People, a midnight-to midnight, non-stop celebration of poetry in Wanaka. Events with be running all night and all day from midnight, Thursday 29 July.

Highlights include local poets reading overnight on Wanaka Beats (107.3 FM), poems served up with coffee at local cafes, kids poetry at the Wanaka Library, a writing workshop with David Eggleton at Wanaka Library (1pm to 3pm — pre-bookings essential), wine and art poetry competitions and a special Open Mic Night at Uno (Ardmore Street, upstairs from Relishes) featuring David Eggleton as guest reader.

Thank you kindly to the businesses who have helped us to make 24 Hour Poerty, People happen: Olssens Winery, Mitre 10 Wanaka, Paper Plus, Art Upstairs, Cinema Paradiso, Wanaka Beats, Uno, Wanaka Fine Wines, Wanaka Library and New Zealand Post.
