Poetice Justice will be holding its next Open Mic evening on Monday, 10 May, and it’s going to be a good one.

Thanks to funding from the Upper Clutha Community Arts Council we will be treated to a reading from Dunedin poet Sue Wootton. Sue was the 2008 Robert Burns fellow at the University of Otago, and has published two poetry collections, Magnetic South (Steele Roberts 2008) and Hourglass (Steele Roberts 2005). Her short story Virtuoso was included in Six Pack Three (NZ Book Month, 2008) and she was featured in Best New Zealand Poems 2004. Read her poem Countdown on the Best New Zealand Poems site.
