It’s a double dipper on Monday, December 12, with the Poetic Justice Youth Poetry Slam running in the afternoon, followed by an Open Mic Night featuring our guest readers the Christchurch poets. It’s all going on, and it’s all good.

Calling all young poets! Join us for Wanaka’s first Youth Poetry Slam – bring along three of your best poems and try to make it all the way to the last round to win some awesome prizes. Poetry, spoken word, freestyle – if you wrote it, we want to hear it!

There are three age groups:
8 and under (starts 3.30pm)
9 to 13 (starts 4.30pm)
14 to 19 (starts 5.30pm)

When: Monday 12 December
Where: The Creek, Dunmore Street

We’re back in November with another Open Mic Session, this time at a NEW venue.

Join us at The Creek on Dunmore Street On Monday, November 7 at 8pm. The theme is Words & Music – sing if you want to, but you really don’t have to. All welcome to read, all welcome to watch, best poem as voted by the audience wins a bottle of Olssens wine!
